So I've now watched part 5 and this has been the most draining one for me to sit through thusfar. I have always hated this movie. Everything about it makes me wish I was watching another film. It's one of those movies from the 80s like
Class Of Nuke 'Em High or
Cannibal Women In The Avocado Jungle Of Death that were made specifically to capitalize on the home video market.(this is mentioned by JBB in the opening rant). I saw it a couple of times on USA Network in the late 80s. USA used to be hit or miss with the horror films they played. If you watched
Saturday Nightmares, you usually saw things like
The Brood or
Grotesque. But if you watched
Up All Night, these were normally the movies shown on there with a few exceptions. To make matters worse, USA censored these movies beyond absurdity. So I was having trouble getting into this segment specifically.

Joe Bob still provides the goods, in these segments. He opens up with observations about Los Angelenos and their weird intolerance to mass transit trains. He talks about Dave Decouteau, who went on after this film to direct
Puppet Master for Charles Band and Full Moon Pictures. We also hear about the 80s scream queens in this movie, mainly Michelle Bauer and Linnea Quigley. Quigley is another close friend of JBB and she appeared a few times on
Drive-In Theatre. Fans of the old
MonsterVision will no doubt remember the episode where Quigley came on the show to help co-host
Return of the Living Dead. It was one of the best episodes of the show, along with the infamous
Friday the 13th marathon.

JBB does great with the info as usual. Lastly, JBB reads a letter with Darcy and we get treated to "stump Joe Bob," a segment I can do without.
Three stars.
